January 2009
The New Year brings with it a myriad of possibilities with partners Rob and Rudy having completed work on a variety of projects. Rudy is proud of the time he spent on the upcoming Canadian Feature ONE WEEK... and urges everyone to support this wonderful film directed by Michael McGowan, produced by Avi Federgreen and shot by Commentary:ON DP Arthur Cooper CSC. While Rob Lindsay has put to bed his work with Air Farce. Having produced, and directed a number of short pieces for the long running Canadian Series (CBC). A number of his "Farce Films" are available online.

YouTube has some of the Jays' Commercials we wrote, they were part of the larger "Now Playing" campaign.

GO-BOY! script is complete. Is currently in the hands of some good people to read and comment. While other projects continue to progress, and "get in the way" we hope to be working on a couple of good Paradox productions in the near future.

January-March 2006
In the Works are some innovative productions for the 2006 Toront Blue Jays, as well as a television pilot project (in partnership with the Canadian Film Centre). The Go-Boy! script is nearing completion, while "The Foundation Doc", a short documentary on the Toronto Blue Jays charitable Foundation, is currently airing (in continuous rotation) on Rogers 83 (the Toronto Blue Jays channel in the GTA).

December 2005
Now airing on PBS are "The Wine Ladies" these short vingettes were produced in conjuntion with BizBuzz Entertainment, and Fast Focus in the United States. Fast Focus has this to say: [We]are excited to introduce the public television audience to the Wine Ladies, two Canadian wine connoisseurs who transition from their national radio show to our television exclusive. The Wine Ladies are sure to entertain and help viewers pair that perfect wine to go with any meal.


June 2005
JUST FOR LAUGHS! Commentary: ON will be playing at the Just For Laughs festival of comedy in Montreal. It will play 3 times during the festival, in the Eat My Shorts 4 program a part of "Comedia". It will play Sunday, July 17th at 9:30pm; Tuesday, July 19th at 5pm and Sunday, July 24th at 7:30pm. The venue will be announced on July the 5th. Check out: JUST FOR LAUGHS for more information. .


March 20 2005
NOW PLAYING! The TORONTO BLUE JAYS 2005 television campaign (written by Paradox's Rudy & Rob, along with Wayne Testori) begins Monday March the 21st. Keep your eyes peeled for the spots airing on CITYTV, GLOBAL, CTV, CKWS, PULSE24, ROGERS, ROGERS SPORTSNET, and MORE! The radio spots are currently in production, while the out-of-home posters can be seen in *MANY* Toronto bus shelters, and inside subway trains.

Hey now! Commentary: ON will be Opening the Kingston Canadian Film Festival! We will play prior to the GALA feature presentation of SIBLINGS (Dir. David Weaver) on Thursday March 10.

STOP THE PRESSES! Commentary: ON will be screened on March 4th, 2005 at the Opening Night Gala of the U.K.'s Bradford Film Festival (presented by the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television). Our film will be shown prior to A GOOD WOMAN, the new feature film by director Mike Barker , staring Helen Hunt and Scarlett Johansson. It is quite an honour to be a part of this film festival's Opening Gala. We are beside ourselves.

Please check out the Commentary: ON page as the festival list has been updated... including *THREE* new invitations!. We are to take part in the MOVING PICTURES travelling film festival and the KINGSTON CANADIAN FILM FESTIVAL. Yay! Co-Director Rob Lindsay is a Kingston native, while Rudy Mammitzsch attended Queen's University (in Kingston) with Mr. Lindsay. Pull out that cot Derek! And latest but not least, and thanks to the French film festival Clermont, and their Clermont-Ferrand Market Library we have been invited to screen in Spain's 4th International Short Film Festival "Almera en Corto 2005". Ol!

Late in 2004, we pitched an advertising campaign for the Toronto Blue Jays. As we enter 2005, we're happy to announce that we are now writing the new campaign for the 2005 Jays. We're exciting to be working with the talented folks over at the DCB Group, Millennium Pictures, Draxhall.com, and Wayne Testori (writer with Royal Canadian Air Farce). We're looking forward to helping usher in a new look for Baseball in Toronto.

January 2005
Commentary:ON has been invited to play in Montreal (Quebec, Canada) at a film festival called Prends a court!. An email from the festival organizers said: "I am the programming director of the Prends a court! World Short Film Series, Montreal's short film festival. I have had the chance to see COMMENTARY: ON at Raindance [film festival in the UK] earlier this year. I would be honored to present the film on january 18th." We look forward to showing there, and with any luck we'll also be in attendance! Montreal, by the way, is co-producer/director Rudolf Mammitzsch's hometown.

The shiney new Paradox Pictures site is launched, courtousy of Larry Adlon of Laer Digital Works, who also created the 'exploding head' effect for Commentary:ON.

Commentary: ON was screened at the National Film Board of Canada, in Toronto, as part of the 35th Canadian International Annual Film Festival. Our short film won both Best Independent Entry and Best Scenario. We'd like to thank the organizers and judges of CIAFF for both awards.

October 06 2004
Paradox Pictures, with the aide of Betsy Cooper, entered a pitch competition at the Raindance Film Festival. Paradox pitched their next big project GO-BOY! to a panel of judges including the screenwriter of The Crying Game and the producer of Bend It Like Beckham. We came in 1st runners up... out of 29 competitors. Yeee-ha!

October 05 2004
Commentary: ON, a Paradox Short film, will be screening at London, England's Raindance Film Festival. We'll be there!

September 2004
Paradox Pictures has just secured the rights to Roger Caron's award winning book GO-BOY! We are currently working on the screenplay.
